This will depend on your issue or idea that you are working on. If your project concerns an invasive or noxious weed or animal, contact your state or county’s noxious weed board first. There is most often a hotline number to report it to and to get additional help. If it is flooding and there is public infrastructure, such as roads or culverts, contact your local public works department. If your issue is on private land or in a park, contact the landowner or park manager. If your idea is more of a program, such as an educational opportunity, then read through the module in this toolkit that most closely fits your idea and read the list of contacts or potential partners for ideas. Remember to ask, “Who else should we talk to? Do you have any advice?”
